How to become an INSTANT EXPERT
3 ways to become an INSTANT expert in the eyes of potential clients
Hey there!
I’ve just returned from my friends wedding in Cyprus, that’s a pic of me with the groom on his last night of freedom——
Anyway, it really got me thinking about how I can help you guys and some of the things I’ve done in the past that’s got me to where I am today, which, excuse me if it comes across as arrogant is pretty frickin successful! 
You see, I see a lot of trainers struggling to attract new clients or converting leads and getting really frustrated with their marketing efforts.
Getting people to join your bootcamp is about more than how good your website is, or how flash your flyers none of this matters if you can’t do the 1 thing that makes all the difference:
PROVE YOU KNOW YOUR SHIT!
You see, you can shout from the rooftops about how good you are but until you can ‘prove it’ then it really doesn’t matter
So how do you go about doing this? Aren’t ‘testimonials’ awesome and doesn’t everyone believe em?
Let’s face it guys, ANYBODY can write a testimonial about ANYTHING right? you can indeed just make it up? and if we believe that our ‘potential clients’ probably believe it too!
PHOTO testimonials (such as my example on the right)
are pretty good but again, i dont TRULY believe all of the ones i see, espeically since the acai berry scams!
VIDEO TESTIMONIALS are BY FAR the best way to show clients that you mean business and what you do works!
even better, if you can be in the video, it gives people the chance to get to see the ‘face/voice/personality’ behind the business!!
Heres one of my videos that’s gotten me A TON of new clients:
Did you notice how I made sure i asked some pretty cool questions?
Such as- What results have you had? What sort of condition were you in BEFORE bootcamp? How did you feel before you started?
This did a few things- A- PROVED that your program is AWESOME to any doubters and B- allayed the BIG SCARY FEAR they have of ‘being the most unfit, fattest one in class an being left behind’ which if you’re great at what you do, no-body does get left behind!
Positioning yourself beside other well know trainers will also help you out- can you interview some of the leading experts that people have heard of? Stick the interview on facebook or your blog and people will be ‘wow, Lucy know Mr X, she must be really good!’
But my VERY favourite thing to position yourself as an INSTANT EXPERT and proving you KNOW YOUR SHIT is one of the simplest things EVER:
WRITE A FRICKIN ARTICLE
Yup- its that simple!
I’ve basically built all of my business based on article writing
It gets you in the paper, on the radio, it gives your current clients something to give their friends who thick they’re crazy that says ‘read this fatty and stop wasting your time at weight watchers!’
Article writing proves you know your shit!
But before you say in a whining voice ‘ but I dont know what to write about’ I’ll say this
Just put down whats in your head onto your computer- spew up on your keyboard so to speak!
Here’s a few hints to help you out
1- Give away your VERY best stuff. Don’t hold anything back and write bullshit with a little sales message on the end! thats ‘spammy’ is that a word?
2- Write how you speak! Don’t fill it full of anger and f-bombs if you’re not like that!
3- Make sure you can back up what you’re saying!
4- write about things that people are interested in or is current news
5- Do it regularly, not just sporadically!
6- Get is SEEN- stick it on your blog, print it and give it to clients (this NEVER gets done and is a great value builder which they can pass onto friends), stick it on facebook on the notes section and ‘share’ it, sent it to ezinearticles.com and other article submission sites
